01. Young student’s leader’s workshop for EAC states.
This workshop designed for young students only from various international schools, public schools, universities and colleges from EAC states, to discuss key challenges with regard to skills mismatch, The workshop will seek to raise awareness and to identify key avenues for the enhancement of skills anticipation approaches and practices, particularly entrepreneurship on agriculture, climate change, food security, health and food nutrition, Education in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) for sustainable development .Exploring opportunities for young students such grant opportunities, international workshop and conferences for students ICESA-AFRICA has created this Strongly advocate program to be in line with EAC gender policy, Africa continental trade agreement AFCTA, SDG’s and AU 2063 agenda which aimed to enforce “An integrated, prosperous and peaceful Africa, driven by its own citizens and representing a dynamic force in international arena”. The contribution of women to a society’s transition from pre-literate to literate likewise is undeniable. Basic education is key to a nation’s ability to develop and achieve sustainability targets. Research has shown that education can improve agricultural productivity, enhance the status of girls and women, reduce population growth rates, enhance environmental protection, and widely raise the standard of living.African women and girls are mainly poor when it comes to employment and entrepreneurship prospects as a result of the lack of relevant training and skills. This has a direct impact on their standards of living, making them helpless to negative aspects such as gender-based violence and early marriage. According to SDG’s agenda is to see women and men are equal in 2030 together with EAC gender policy article 6.1.3 inviting development partners to work closely with the EAC secretariat, the partner States, Civil Society Organizations, private sectors and other key stakeholders to provide technical and financial support but also to put their own efforts to bring these girls and women into their right way and starting believing themselves that they can also be in frontline to lead Africa for their current future.
